Igor Thiago was named both the Supporters' Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year at Brentford's 2025/26 end-of-season awards.

The Bees' Goal of the Season award went to Mathias Jensen for his memorable strike against Manchester United at Gtech Community Stadium.

While a number of players could have been recognised for their contributions during the season, the winners of the first team, B team and women's prizes have been revealed.

Supporters' Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year

Igor Thiago

Igor Thiago picked up the Supporters' Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards.

Ahead of the final game of the season, the striker has bagged 25 goals across all competitions, becoming the club's highest-ever scorer, as well as the highest-scoring Brazilian, in a single Premier League campaign.

In November, he became the first Brentford player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award, before repeating the feat in January.

Only Manchester City forward Erling Haaland is ahead of Thiago, who is also nominated for the EA Sports Player of the Season in the Premier League's end-of-season awards, in the race for the Golden Boot.

The 24-year-old's impressive campaign saw him earn a first cap for Brazil in March in an international friendly against France, and the Bees' no.9 followed that up by netting his first goal for his country against Croatia six days later.

Earlier this week, Thiago was named in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for this summer's World Cup in North America.

On his 2025/26 campaign and winning two awards, he said: "I feel really happy and proud of the season I’m having with my team-mates.

"All of the achievements I’ve had this season are because of the trust and belief the fans and the club give to me.

"My team-mates mean so much to me. Since I joined Brentford, they supported and trusted me, and it’s something I’ve never had before in my life."

Goal of the Season

Mathias Jensen

Mathias Jensen's long-range strike in Brentford's 3-1 victory against Manchester United was named the Goal of the Season.

With the Bees leading 2-1, the Danish midfielder fired a fine swerving strike past Altay Bayındır in the fifth minute of stoppage-time at the end of an electric counter attack, which started with Yehor Yarmoliuk on the edge of his own box.

An early Igor Thiago brace had put the west Londoners in the ascendancy before Benjamin Šeško pulled one back inside an entertaining first half.

Keith Andrews' side then had Caoimhín Kelleher to thank for maintaining the lead as the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper saved a Bruno Fernandes penalty before Jensen's late goal made sure of the three points.

Jensen, whose goal against United at Old Trafford was also on the shortlist said: "To be fair, I didn’t know I was nominated!

"I felt like I just came on very late in the game, so it was a very natural transition of them chasing and not really having any defenders left. It was just trying to get something out of that transition and, luckily, that went well.

"I mainly score against United, not too much against other clubs! It’s unfortunate that the second goal didn’t get us any points.

"It’s not the main focus for me to score goals, but it’s still always nice to score."

Under-21s Player of the Year

Josh Stephenson

Brentford Under-21s captain Josh Stephenson was rewarded for his strong form this season with the U21s Player of the Year award.

The athletic centre-back was a rock at the back for Sam Saunders' side, who won the Professional Development League title for a second consecutive season.

While leading the defence, Stephenson also bagged six goals and five assists across the campaign. His effort to equalise against an AS Monaco side featuring Paul Pogba and Eric Dier was a standout, the Bees going on to win that game 2-1.

Stephenson featured prominently on the training pitch for Keith Andrews' side and was included in numerous matchday squads with the first team across the season.

"I feel a lot of pride and am very grateful for the award. It's been a very good season as a collective and individually as well," said Stephenson.

"Hopefully, I can break into the first team next year and hopefully get some appearances. If that comes with a loan as well, whatever the club think is best for me, I'm happy to do."

Under-21s Players' Player of the Year

Ethan Laidlaw

Ethan Laidlaw put together his best season in Brentford colours across the 2025/26 campaign and was rewarded with the Under-21s Players' Player of the Year.

The Scottish forward started the season well with two goals in the first two games. Despite a small injury setback, he returned to finish the season with 15 goals and 10 assists, including a timely goal in the PDL title-clinching win over Swansea City at the Gtech.

Laidlaw's finest performance came late in the season as he fired home a hat-trick in a 6-1 drubbing of Fleetwood Town.

That performance came during a scintillating end to the season, where the forward contributed 13 goals and four assists in 14 games.

"This award shows that, throughout the season, what I've done has been seen by my team-mates. To get voted by your mates is a nice personal touch," said Laidlaw.

"In my position, [scoring goals] is what I'm here to do... but all of the lads have been fantastic."

Under-18s Player of the Year

Beau Redknapp

First-year scholar Beau Redknapp went from strength to strength this season en route to the Under-18s Player of the Year award.

The attacking midfielder joined Gary McDermott's side alongside 11 other first-year scholars in pre-season and had an immediate impact.

Redknapp finished the campaign with 13 goals and six assists, including an FA Youth Cup stunner in the Bees' tight loss to Chelsea at Wheatsheaf Park.

The midfielder also featured prominently for Saunders' U21s across the second half of the season, scoring a last-minute winner away to Bournemouth and a vital goal against Peterborough United, both strikes helping the west Londoners on their way to the PDL title.

"I feel honoured, it's a great achievement. It's something that I was looking at at the start of the season that I wanted," said Redknapp.

"Playing for the Under-21s is another big achievement and it's something that's really helped me, working with Saunds, Burkey [Chris Burke], it's been really helpful and brought me on not only as a player, but as a person as well."

Brentford Women Player of the Year

Asees Sangha

Asees Sangha won the Brentford Women's Player of the Year in her first season of women's football.

A homegrown talent having come through Brentford’s Emerging Talent Centre, Sangha balanced this season with her GCSE’s, where she achieved an astounding 10 grade nines (A* equivalent).

On the pitch, the midfielder scored 11 goals and added five assists across her 29 appearances, with 25 of those being starts.

Sangha started her season with a bang, scoring in her debut 1-0 win over Aylesford away from home and ended the campaign with a brace in a 3-1 win over Millwall on the final day of the season.

Her best effort came against Barking, however, as her powerful left-footed strike from outside the box won her the London and South East Premier Goal of the Month for January.

"I can't describe it. I saw Kristoffer Ajer sitting next to me and, just to put that into context is crazy; it's crazy to be around that calibre of people," said Sangha.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone who's been around me, my parents, the coaching staff at Brentford and my team-mates - what an incredible season.

"One word I would use to describe the season is togetherness. We've been saying it from day one, Carly's kind of instilled it into us."

Brentford Women Supporters' Player of the Year

Ashley Cheatley

Brentford Women striker Ashley Cheatley was awarded the Supporters' Player of the Year.

Despite changing to no.16 in the off-season, it was the same Cheatley on the pitch, the dynamic striker scoring a team-best 17 goals and picking up an equal team-high seven assists.

Cheatley joined the Bees last season from Ashford Town (Middlesex) and helped steer the side to Tier 5. She also played a pivotal role for Carly Williams' side this campaign, featuring 23 times.

She scored three hat-tricks across the season, her 18-minute hat-trick off the bench in a 10-0 win over Sport London E Benfica last month seeing her be named the LSE Premier Player of the Month.

Cheatley was also nominated for the FIFA Marta Award last November for her bicycle kick in last season's FA Cup. Cheatley joined nominees such as Mariona Caldentey (Arsenal), Kyra Cooney-Cross (Australia), Kishi Nunez (Argentina), Khadija Shaw (Manchester City) and Marta (Orlando Pride), who the award is named after.

"I'm buzzing, I did not expect that at all. To be Supporters' Player of the Year, I'm buzzing with that," said Cheatley.

"I love Brentford. Seeing the fans at Bedfont every game, it's been magic and the support that they give to us, it's unreal, I couldn't be happier with it."

Brentford Women B Player of the Year

Justine Buckmire-Monro

Justine Buckmire-Monro was named Brentford Women B Player of the Year.

Buckmire-Monro played a pivotal role for Tommy Ryan-Maynard's side as they finished eight points clear of Hammersmith Reserves to win the Greater London Division One South title.

The defender was ever-present for the Bees, featuring in 18 games, playing 1,479 minutes, scoring three goals and keeping 10 clean sheets across the campaign.
