A prolific forward who can play anywhere across the front line, Ashley Cheatley joined Brentford Women in the summer of 2024.
The dynamic forward made the move alongside Lucy Potter from Ashford Town (Middlesex), Cheatley beginning her Brentford career with a bang.
In her debut season with the Bees, Cheatley scored 46 goals as the Bees went on to win the London and South East Division One North title and the Capital Cup.
Cheatley went viral in the same season after scoring a remarkable overhead kick in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup first round win over Ascot United.
She was nominated for the 2025 FIFA Marta Award for the goal, the accolade named after Brazilian forward Marta, which celebrates the most spectacular goals of the qualifying period. Cheatley was nominated alongside international stars such as Mariona Caldentey (Arsenal), Khadija Shaw (Manchester City) and Ally Sentnor (USA).
Making the step up to tier five for the 2025/26 season, Cheatley featured 23 time for Carly Williams' side, scoring a team-high 17 goals and an equal team-high seven assists.
She was awarded the Supporters' Player of the Year at the end-of-season awards.
