Brentford Football Club will be using CCTV to identify the people responsible for repeated coin throwing from the Ealing Road terrace and may be forced to reduce the capacity of that end if the problem does not stop.
The Club has received correspondence from the Football Association concerning the throwing of coins from the terrace.
The governing body has made it clear that Brentford FC must take action to stop the problem and fines may be issued if supporters do not halt this dangerous action.
If there is no end to the throwing, the Club may be forced to reduce the capacity of the terrace in order to more easily identify those responsible.
The Club would like to remind supporters that throwing anything on the field of play is extremely serious.
It is illegal, against Ground Regulations and puts others in danger, both on the pitch and in the stands.
The Club will be checking CCTV and if any individuals are identified as being responsible, action will be taken.

The Club would like to reiterate how seriously all breaches of Ground Regulations are treated, particularly those which put fellow supporters and players at risk.
There will be sanctions for anyone caught and identified and these can include being banned from Griffin Park.
Mark Devlin, Brentford FC Chief Executive, said: “The behaviour of Brentford supporters this season and during my time at the Club has been largely superb.
“The noise generated both home and away – as commented on by the players and management – has helped our promotion push.
“But incidents like these do present us with a problem.
“There is the potential for fines from the FA and even a reduction in the capacity of the terrace, which will affect our ability to get as many fans as possible in to Griffin Park.
“We want to maintain the noise at Griffin Park and to make it a place where we can win football matches but it must also be a safe environment, welcoming for new visitors.
“Anything thrown on to the pitch can cause serious injury and we must stamp it out.
“The Club will impose bans on anyone identified and I hope Bees fans will help us find those responsible.”
