Brentford Women booked their place in the next round of the Women’s FA Cup with a commanding 3-0 win over Dartford Women at Honeycroft on Sunday afternoon.
First-half strikes from Wiktoria Kiszkis, Millie Constantine and Ashley Cheatley secured an impressive first-round victory for Carly Williams’ side against the Darts, who sit in a tier above the Bees.
It was an entertaining start to the contest as both sides looked to threaten. Brentford had the first opportunity of the game as Kiszkis was played through on goal by Cheatley, but the striker's shot was saved well by Jade Charlton.
The resulting corner brought the opener as Constantine whipped in a wicked delivery which found the head of Kiszkis, who came charging in to give the home side the lead.
Two minutes later, the lead was doubled as Constantine pounced on a loose ball and, from distance, she struck a firm shot which squirmed underneath Charlton before trickling into the goal.
The home side continued to dominate proceedings and continued to be a difficult challenge for their tier-four opponents.
Just before the half-time whistle, Cheatley was played through on goal and finished expertly as the Bees were making their dominance count.
The second period was a much slower half than the first; the home side were content in keeping the ball as they contained most of the away team's attacks.
Constantine did have the chance to grab a brace as she flicked a shot that went just over the bar.
Saskia Reeves-Priestley was called into action as a brilliant free-kick from Abbey Davies had to be tipped over by the goalkeeper.
Davies went close again when her whipped shot from distance clipped the top of the crossbar as the Darts looked to get themselves on the scoresheet.
The Bees would see out the game and win, as Brentford advanced to the second round of the Women's FA Cup.
The west Londoners will return to LSE Premier Division action when they host Ashford Town on Wednesday 28 October.

Williams: The players deserved it
Reaction: Carly Williams on FA Cup win against Dartford
Brentford Women head coach Carly Williams reflected on her side's 3-0 win against Dartford as they progress to the second round.
"To go out there and dominate the first half and then control the second, I am so proud of all the players and the staff because we have worked really hard.
"We keep setting new standards, the control and the performance even when things were a lot more physical, this is just a glimmer of what we are capable of doing. I still believe there is so much more to come, the players deserved it today."
