No Room For Racism: Josh Dasilva and Nathan Collins visit Lyon Park School
Brentford players Josh Dasilva and Nathan Collins visited Lyon Park School last week as part of the club's support for the Premier League's No Room For Racism campaign.
The pair joined a Premier League Primary Stars session delivered by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, speaking to pupils about inclusion, respect and diversity.
Before Dasilva and Collins arrived, pupils took part in an anti-discrimination workshop led by Trust staff. The players then joined the discussion, answered questions about their experiences in football and heard pupils' views on how they can help make others feel welcome at school and in their communities.
Using education to challenge discrimination
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust regularly delivers anti-discrimination sessions in schools as part of its work with young people across west London.
The session at Lyon Park School was delivered through Premier League Primary Stars, which uses football to support children's learning, physical activity and personal development.
Through classroom activities, PE sessions and other initiatives, the programme helps schools explore themes including teamwork, confidence and inclusion.
Brentford supports No Room For Racism
The visit formed part of Brentford's wider support for the Premier League's No Room For Racism campaign.
The club's Premier League fixture against Liverpool at Gtech Community Stadium was dedicated to the campaign, with messaging around the stadium encouraging supporters to challenge and report racial discrimination.
No Room For Racism forms part of the Premier League's year-round work with clubs, players and communities to tackle discrimination and promote equality, diversity and inclusion in football.
