Brentford Women return to League Cup action on Sunday as they host Newhaven in the quarter-final at Bedfont Sports Club (3pm kick-off GMT).
It’s been a two-month wait for the quarter-final for Carly Williams’ side following their third-round win in November, with five victories coming in that time across the London and South East Premier Division and the Capital Cup.
The clash is the first of a two-game week against Newhaven, as the Bees will travel to Fort Road Recreation Ground on 8 February to face them again, with that match being in the league.
Sunday will be the west Londoners' first of February, a month that will end with a return to Gtech Community Stadium to face Saltdean United.
Last time out
Brentford cruised to a 7-0 league win over Ebbsfleet United at Bedfont last time out.
Freya Worsley opened the scoring with Asees Sangha adding a brace before half-time.
Chelsie Berry netted inside 30 seconds of the restart, before Marta Boabonay, Renai McCrea and Maï Louvrier added a goal each to complete the scoring.
Previously against Newhaven, Williams’ side dominated en route to a 4-0 league win at home.
Habeebat Gbajabiamila, Alissa Down, McCrea and Ashley Cheatley each scored as Brentford secured their first victory at home for the season.
