Riding the momentum of two-straight Professional Development League wins, Sam Saunders’ B team will look to make it three in a row against Watford Under-21s on Tuesday (1pm kick-off GMT).

The young Bees will travel to UCL Sports Ground to face the young Hornets, who are coming into Tuesday’s game off the back of two wins and a loss in their last three league outings.

This will be the first of two games this week for the west Londoners, as they host Colchester United in league action at Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Tickets for the clash are available now and can be purchased here.

Last time out

Last-minute heroics from Michel Boni saw the Bees defeat Charlton Athletic 2-1 at Wheatsheaf Park last time out.

After going 1-0 down in the first half, Saunders’ side responded to level the score through an Ethan Laidlaw penalty, after Joseph Wheeler-Henry was brought down in the box.

It took until the final moments to find the winner, with Laidlaw rounding the Charlton goalkeeper before crossing to Boni who scored from close range.

Previously against Watford, the west Londoners cruised to a 4-0 victory at home.

Myles Peart-Harris netted a brace, while Yunus Emre Konak and Josh Stephenson chipped in with a goal each to secure the three points.

About Watford

Watford come into Tuesday’s clash fifth in the PDL table, with eight wins, four draws and six losses to their name; the young Hornets sit four points behind Brentford.

Watford were defeated by Colchester United 5-2 last time out, but impressed at home prior to that clash, beating QPR 5-0.

The Hornets’ Premier League Cup campaign is still alive following their 3-2 win over Charlton in the round of 16, with their quarter-final opponent still to be confirmed.
