A strong and powerful forward, Michel Boni made the move to west London in the summer of 2024.
Previously at Leicester City, Boni made the move south ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, the young Bees’ first in the Professional Development League since the reintroduction of the academy.
After gaining valuable minutes abroad against Heidenheim Under-17s and Bayern Munich Under-17s in pre-season, an injury sidelined Boni for the early stages of the season.
He had an impact once he returned to the pitch, his first goal in Brentford colours coming in a 1-1 draw with Bristol City Under-18s.
Boni enjoyed a strong second half of the season, ending the campaign with five goals and two assists.
He gained valuable B team minutes in the London Senior Cup, coming on in the second half of the young Bees’ 3-2 win over Welling United. He went one better in the Robert Rowan Invitational, scoring a goal in the 6-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Gtech Community Stadium.
Following an impressive pre-season, Boni became a regular starter for Sam Saunders' Brentford B side in the 2025/26 season.
By January, he had made the most appearances in the squad and scored important goals in Premier League Cup wins against Exeter and West Bromwich Albion.
Boni hit the 10 goal mark for the Under-21s with an instinctive finish in a 3-0 win against west London rivals QPR in the middle of January.
It was a remarkable season for Boni, who was called up to make his international debut for Benin at just 17-years-of-age. The young forward started in a 1-0 friendly win against Liberia in March.
He also finished as top-scorer for the B team, hitting the back of the net 17 times and assisting twice.
