Two Brentford players started for England Under-21 as they won a friendly last night.
Alex Pritchard, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, and Liam Moore, on loan from Leicester City, both started in a 1-0 win for England against Czech Republic.
Alex played 60 minutes, earning his fifth cap, and Liam played 70 in a match settled by a goal from captain Tom Carroll, another Tottenham player, currently on loan at Swansea City.
Liam played his 12th game for England Under-21 in the centre of defence while Alex started as part of a front three and almost set up an early goal for Cauley Woodrow.
Alex almost grabbed his first international Under-21 goal in the second half with a deflected shot by a single goal was enough to give England the win.
The match was the first of two friendlies during the next four days – England also play Germany at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on Monday March 30.
Both Alex and Liam will be hoping to secure a spot in the England squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championships this summer.
England reached the finals with a Play-Off win over Croatia last year.
They will join hosts Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Serbia and Sweden in the summer tournament.
