There has been a change of referee for Brentford’s Sky Bet Championship match against Huddersfield Town this evening.
Christopher Kavanagh was due to take charge of the match but he is unable to.
Lee Collins will now be the man in the middle.
This Mr Collins’ fourth season as a Football League referee and he has taken charge of five Brentford games so far.
Two of those have been in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy – a Southern Section First Round clash against Milton Keynes Dons in August 2011 that ended 3-3 with Brentford winning a penalty shoot-out and last season’s win over AFC Wimbledon.
His other Brentford appointment in the 2011/12 season was the 0-0 draw with Notts County in April while he was the referee for the 3-2 win over Milton Keynes Dons in December 2012.
His last Brentford league game was The Bees’ first ever visit to Crawley Town in February 2013.
He dismissed Crawley defender Mark Connolly after 40 seconds in a game Brentford eventually won 2-1 after Adam Forshaw was sent off.
