Places are still available at the Girls Player Development Centre Open Trials on Thursday April 9 2015 (during the Easter school holidays).
The trial will be split into two sessions, with trials for school years three to six taking place in the morning, and trials for school years seven to ten in the afternoon.
Delivered by the Sports Trust, the Girls Player Development Centre (GPD) offers a dedicated football development programme for young female players.
It is designed to assist in the development and advancement of the player’s skills, helping them to improve in a player-centred environment.
The fee-based programme will run venue in Southall.
Players will train once a week, supplementing any training they receive elsewhere (such as their grass roots club or school).
The GDP programme does not prevent players from continuing to play for their clubs.
Our long-term goal is to include a full match programme - similar to the Boys ATP - which will take place during the school holiday periods.
There is a potential pathway for players at Under-16 who can progress into the Brentford Women’s First Team.
For those players not at clubs we will endeavour to offer pathways to appropriate female clubs for younger age groups.
This will be the first open trial for our Girls Player Development Centre.
The day’s format will see a training session followed by conditioned small-sided matches – allowing for us to assess each player’s potential.
Each trial will last three hours (including a rest period).
Trials cost £10 per player (plus booking fee).
Places are strictly limited in all the age groups and your child must train in the correct year group.
The closing date for registration is 10am today, Friday March 27 2015.
You may only book your own children onto this trial.
