Brentford's Wycombe Wanderers trio of Alfie Mawson, Sam Saunders and Nico Yennaris extended their unbeaten run to seven matches after a 3-2 victory over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
All the goals came in the first-half as Saunders' effort was deflected past his own goalkeeper by Fraser Franks after just three minutes but that was quickly cancelled out by Elliot Lee.
Former Brentford striker Paul Hayes put The Chairboys back in front from the penalty spot and Alfie scored his third goal in four matches with a fine run and finish to extend the lead.
Lee grabbed his second just before half-time but that was the end of the scoring as Gareth Ainsworth's side moved four points clear of fourth placed Bury.
