The Millers currently occupy the final relegation spot in the Sky Bet Championship and are in danger of being cut adrift after a run that has seen then pick up only two points in their last seven matches. Rotherham looked to have turned a corner heading into the new year after winning four home matches in five but 2016 has seen them take just five points from nine matches to leave them six points from safety. The South Yorkshire side parted company with Neil Redfearn earlier this month and replaced him with the hugely experienced Neil Warnock. The 67-year-old's three games in charge have yielded no goals and just the solitary point, picked up after a 0-0 draw with Birmingham City.
Warnock has been quick to act since taking charge bringing Jerome Thomas, Paddy Kenny and Lloyd Doyley to The AESSEAL New York Stadium in the last couple of weeks. The trio join another seven players who were brought in this January by Redfern. Loan deals were agreed for Shay Facey [Manchester City], Chris Burke [Nottingham Forest], Andrew Shinnie [Birmingham City] while Aimen Belard [Levski Sofia], Alex Cairns [Chesterfield], Luciano Becchio [Norwich City] and Chris Dawson [Leeds United] all signed permanent deals.
Warnock is sweating on the fitness of a number of players ahead of tomorrow's match. Kirk Broadfoot and Richard Wood have both missed training this week but are expected to be fit but new-signing Doyley is likely to be missing with a muscle injury. Danny Ward's recent return to fitness has been a boost for The Millers with Lee Frecklington, Leon Best and Stephen Kelly all facing a battle to recover in time for tomorrow's match.

Neil Warnock is one of the most experienced and well-known managers in English football after a career spanning more than 35 years. Sheffield-born Warnock made his name by leading Notts County from the Third Division to the First Division in the early 1990's. He also won promotion with Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle before an eight-year spell with his boyhood club Sheffield United. At Bramall Lane he lead The Blades to the 2003 FA Cup and League Cup Semi-Finals before winning promotion to the Premier League in 2006. He resigned after United were relegated in 2007 before two spells with Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers, either side of a year at Leeds United, ahead of returning to Rotherham United earlier this month.
