Brentford Manager Mark Warburton said his team would face a formidable test against Millwall tomorrow and had to be properly prepared for the challenge.
The Bees face Millwall at The Den tomorrow, Saturday November 8, in a London derby that will kick off at 3pm.
Brentford go there on the back of consecutive wins this week against Derby County and Nottingham Forest and are ninth in the table.
Millwall have won once in their last 11 games but came back from 2-0 down to draw with Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday and coming back from three down to draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers a few weeks ago.
Mark, speaking after the win at Forest, said Millwall had undoubted character and an attacking threat with Ricardo Fuller in attack but Brentford would get their rewards if they were technically, tactically and physically ready.
“Millwall will pose a formidable test,” said the Brentford boss.
“We have seen in a couple of recent games that their spirit and their character is undoubted.
“They were three down to Wolves and got back to 3-3.
“They were two down on Tuesday and got back to 2-2.
“We are well aware of that.
“They are a good side with good quality.
“We are aware of the threat of Ricardo Fuller up front.
“It is a tough place to go and we have to be right.
“If we are not right we will get a battering.
“It is important for us to be prepared physically, technically and tactically.
“Hopefully we will get our rewards.
“It is a tough place to go but our fans can have an impact.”
Alex Pritchard, also speaking after the Forest win, also said preparation was important.
He said it was a big game but all were at this level.
“If we prepare right we can play the way we want to play and get results,” said Alex.
“We have to go to Millwall with the same desire, the same attitude and put in a performance.
“It is always big to play a team like Millwall but all the games in the Championship are massive.
“We are five points off the top, anything can happen.”
Alan said he was looking forward to play at The Den for the first time and wanted to finish the week on a high.
“I haven’t played there before,” he said.
“I am looking forward to it.
“It will be nice to finish this week with a few points, a win would be great.”
Brentford will have a day less to prepare for the game than Millwall but Alan said the momentum of back-to-back wins will help them.
“There is a day less recovery but we get on with it,” he said.
“We have a two-week international break to come so there will be no complaining.
“We have momentum and want to keep going.
“The lads will be looking forward to it.
“I can imagine it will be a tasty game, I am looking forward to it.”
