54 mins - Maidenhead think they have scored a second but in fact their second-goal has seen the game called off. A lightening quick break by the hosts sees a low shot which was going wide stop inside the six yard box due to the waterlogging. A Maidenhead substitute taps the ball home but the referee has seen enough and consults both managers before calling the game off with no sign of the rain abating.
46 mins - The two teams are back out but it seems a matter of time when they call this off not if. The referee has already had one look at the area in front of the dugouts and the rain shows absolutely no sign of stopping. There is one change for The Bees at half-time as Daniel O'Shaughnessy comes out to replace Raphael Calvet.

The Bees dominated the half but their failure to take chances has cost them as Maidenhead netted with their sole attack of the half. It may well all be academical as the rain continues to lash down and areas of the pitch are getting very boggy and saturated.
37 mins - Unless it stops raining fairly soon we might not have much more play here tonight. The near touchline is already gathering standing water and splashes of water are beginning to come up in the midfield.

You began to wonder how many attacking opportunities The Bees could pass up before they got punished and that is just what has happened. A couple of innocuous free-kicks were given away on the far side and from the second Maidenhead's tall winger was unmarked six yards out to power home.
30 mins - A sloppy pass in the midfield allows Moore to pick up the ball and drive at the home defence and find Udumaga. Moore continues his run and Alves breaks right but Udumaga goes for glory from 30 yards and only finds the back of the stand.
24 mins - Brentford's front three are interchanging nicely and Bateman pops up on the right this time with space inside the box but The Magpies keeper shows strong wrists to parry away his fierce effort.
18 mins - Lee Carsley's side have coped well so far with the horrendous conditions and are moving the ball around nicely. However they are only really creating half-chances a point emphasised as Jack Warburton shoots over from long range.
13 mins - Brentford should be ahead as Moore breaks free on the right but his cross-shot is neither one nor the other and evades Herson Rodrigues-Alves at the back post.
11 mins - Richard Lee has been a spectator in the opening 11 minutes but Maidenhead nearly fashion and opening as the ball drops to their tall striker on the edge of the box but his effort with the outside of his right foot flies a yard or so over.
9 mins - As the rain buckets down again The Bees break into the box, the initial attack is repelled but Paris Bateman is tripped inside The D to give Brentford a free-kick. Moore takes it and his Drogba-esque effort just dips too late and clears the bar.
7 mins - It is Lee Carsley's side who have started the brighter and the home keeper has to be down smartly as Jermaine Udumage looks to find the far corner with a low shot
2 mins - Montell Moore has the first chance of the game as he beats a couple of defenders but then pulls his shot wide from the edge of the box

Good evening and welcome to live coverage of tonight's Development Squad friendly at York Road against Maidenhead United.
This is The Bees second trip to Maidenhead this season but it's fair to say conditions are slightly different from the first.
Back in July Brentford prevailed 2-1 on a night for t-shirts and shorts but tonight is a night for wellies and snorkles.
There has been heavy rain around all day and the pitch looks very soft with the goalmouth away to our left nothing but mud.
