Shaleum Logan said he was confident Brentford would make the FA Cup with Budweiser Third Round.
The Bees drew 1-1 with Bradford City in a Second Round tie in West Yorkshire and will meet The Bantams again in a replay later this month.
Shaleum, speaking to Bees Player after the match, said the draw was a fair result but he was confident Brentford would win the second tie.
“The first half was very tough,” said the defender.
“We played better in the second half.
“It is fair to say we got lucky with the goal we scored.
“1-1 was probably a fair result.
“Now we can take them back to our place and we are confident we can win it.
“We always want to win, but if you can’t win, make sure you don’t lose.
“We will do our best to win the replay.”
Bradford played a direct style, knocking long balls to striker James Hanson and trying to play off.
The Bradford striker scored the equalising goal after Clayton Donaldson had put Brentford in front.
“We have been preparing all week for them to play long balls in to the big forward,” said Shaleum.
“We had them scouted so we knew what to expect.
“Their game is to play off him and they do it well.
“The guy is six foot four; he will win headers against anyone.
“In general we didn’t win as many second balls as we would like.
“I am sure we will work on that ahead of the second game.”
Brentford went in at half time 1-0 up and dominated the start of the second half.
Bradford goalkeeper made a superb save with his head to deny Clayton Donaldson a second goal and Shaleum said that was a key moment.
“We got the goal and were on top after that,” he continued.
“Clayton had a good chance and the keeper saved it with his head, he didn’t know much about it.
“If that goes in we win the game comfortably.
“1-0 is a difficult score, they have nothing to lose.
“They will always try and win it; they wouldn’t have wanted a replay.
“There was some good defending at the end to get us through.
“Last season, perhaps we wouldn’t have held on for a draw.
“We can beat anybody at home.
“Hopefully we can get a good Premier League team in the draw.”
Nearly 200 Brentford fans made the trip to Yorkshire on a freezing Friday night.
“There was a great support,” added Shaleum.
“The lads really appreciate it.
“The ones who have come from London or a long way, fair play to them.
“We are just gutted we couldn’t give them a win.”
