Emmanuel Oyeleke played an important role as Aldershot Town took a step towards avoiding relegation yesterday.
The Development Squad midfield player, better known as Manny, is on loan at Aldershot Town.
They are battling to avoid relegation from the Skrill Premier and beat Woking 2-1 yesterday, Easter Monday, April 21, in their penultimate match.
Manny played 90 minutes in the win, his 39th game of the loan.
The result leaves The Shots 19th in the Skrill Premier table.
They are three points clear of Hereford United, who occupy the final relegation place, and with a vastly superior goal difference which means they are just about safe, although they do play Hereford on the final day.
Manny’s team mate Aaron Pierre is also involved in a relegation battle a division higher.
Aaron is on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, fighting to avoid the drop from Sky Bet League Two.
Wycombe lost 1-0 to Fleetwood Town yesterday.
Aaron played 90 minutes in the match, his sixth appearance for the Buckinghamshire side, which saw Fleetwood reduced to ten men inside the first 15 minutes and then win it in the second half.
Wycombe have two matches remaining, against Bristol Rovers and Torquay United, who are also both battling to avoid relegation.
One more Brentford players was in action yesterday.
Development Squad striker Luke Norris played for Dagenham and Redbridge in their League Two match against Chesterfield.
Luke played 90 minutes, his 17th appearance for the East London side, as they lost 1-0.
The defeat leaves The Daggers 11th in the table with two games remaining.
Brentford have six more players out on loan.
