Shaleum Logan helped Aberdeen to their first trophy for 19 years this weekend.
The right back, who joined the Scottish Premiership club on loan in January, played in the Scottish Communities League Cup Final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle yesterday, Sunday March 16.
The game finished 0-0 after extra time and Shaleum, making his seventh appearance for Aberdeen, played all 120 minutes of the tie, played at Celtic Park.
The match was decided by penalties and Aberdeen converted all four of their while Inverness failed with two of theirs.
Aberdeen won 4-2 on penalties to take the trophy, their first since they won the same title in 1995.
Shaleum was one of eight Brentford players to feature for loan clubs this weekend.
Striker Farid El Alagui is also on loan in Scotland.
He started for Dundee United in a Scottish Premiership game against St Mirren on Saturday, March 15, his tenth game for his loan club.
When he left the action Dundee United were 2-0 down.
They were, however, able to stage a comeback in his absence and won the game 3-2.
Toumani Diagouraga captained Portsmouth in their Sky Bet League Two game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The midfield player was making his sixth appearance for Pompey and was named as skipper.
Portsmouth found themselves 3-0 down by the hour mark and although they pulled one back, they ended up losing 3-1.
The defeat leaves Portsmouth 19th in League Two, four points clear of the relegation zone having played more games than all the teams below them.
Development Squad striker Luke Norris was also in League Two action on Saturday.
Luke made his tenth appearance for The Daggers against Morecambe and came close to giving the East London side the lead with a free kick.
He then had a shot hit the hand of Morecambe defender Chris McCready, earning his side a penalty that Medy Elito converted.
Luke was withdrawn in the 79th minute and the Daggers looked to have the game won but Morecambe equalised in the last minute.
The draw leaves Dagenham and Redbridge 13th in League Two, six points outside the Play-Off places.
Alfie Mawson was unable to prevent Welling United losing on Saturday.
The Development Squad central defender made his sixth appearance for Welling in a Skrill Premier game against FC Halifax Town.
Halifax won the game with a second half penalty and the defeat leaves Welling 13th in the Skrill Premier table, five points outside the Play-Off places.
Development Squad midfield player Tyrell Miller-Rodney suffered a case of déjà vu on Saturday.
Tyrell is on loan at Skrill South Maidenhead United and played his seventh game for them against Dover Athletic on Saturday.
The teams shared early goals and the game was level at 1-1 going in to the dying minutes.
But Dover scored an 89th minute winner to take the points, the fourth time in the space of seven days Maidenhead had conceded a last-gasp winner.
Maidenhead have now slipped to 18th in the Skrill South table.
The final two of Brentford’s players in loan action at the weekend were both in the Burnham team that lost to Redditch United in a Calor League Premier Division match on Saturday.
George Pilbeam played his sixth game for the Buckinghamshire side while Lewis Lavender played his third.
Burnham took the lead but were pegged back and lost 2-1.
Lewis, unfortunately, scored an own goal for Redditch’s winner, a result which leaves Burnham 17th in the Calor League Premier Division table.
Brentford have one more player out on loan – Development Squad central defender Aaron Pierre, who is with Sky Bet League Two Wycombe Wanderers.
Aaron was an unused substitute as Wycombe were beaten by York City on Saturday.
