MK Dons moved to within two points of leaders Bristol City at the top of the Sky Bet League One after a 1-0 win away at Sheffield United on a landmark night for Brentford's on-loan striker Will Grigg.
Will was recalled to the starting XI following Saturday's 6-0 mauling of Colchester United at Stadium:MK for the 100th Football League start of his career.
Tuesday's match was also Will's 150th appearance in the Football League.
The closest Will came to a goal on his 100th start was an early effort that was deflected behind for a corner.
The Dons won the game with three minutes remaining as Dele Alli poked home after Danny Green had seen his free-kick blocked.
It is now nine league games unbeaten for Karl Robinson's side as they move up to third in the table behind Bristol City and Swindon Town.
