Charlie Adams got his loan spell at Stevenage off to a winning start following a 2-1 victory over Accrington Stanley at Broadhall Way.
Adams and fellow Brentford player Josh Clarke, who was an unused substitute in Saturday's win, joined Stevenage on initial one month youth loans on Saturday.
Chris Whelpdale put Stevenage ahead in the opening minute but that was cancelled out by Lee Molyneux's goal after 20 minutes.
Adams was a half-time substitute for Graham Westley's side and they scored the winning goal three minutes later through Charlie Lee to move up to 15th in Sky Bet League Two.
Also in League Two is Alfie Mawson who helped Wycombe Wanderers cement their place at the league's summit with a 2-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon which took their unbeaten run to 10 games.
The Chairboys took the lead through Josh Scowen after half-time and former Bee Sam Wood secured the points with 20 minutes remaining as Gareth Ainsworth's side opened up a two point gap at the top of the league.

Manny Oyeleke began his second spell at Aldershot Town with a 1-1 draw away at Dartford in the Vanarama Conference.
The 21-year-old played 90 minutes in the centre of midfield as Josh Scott's opener for Aldershot was cancelled out by Andy Pugh's goal midway through the second-half.
Manny made 35 appearances for the Hampshire club last season as they defied a 10-point deduction to secure their Conference status on the final day of the season.
Saturday's point against struggling Dartford leaves them 15th in the Vanarama Conference with 21 points from 17 games.
Also out on loan is Will Grigg and the Northern Irish striker was a late substitute as MK Dons drew 0-0 away at Leyton Orient in Sky Bet League One.
Will played the final 13 minutes as MK were held to a draw which leaves them fifth in the league table six points off second placed Peterborough United.
