Goalscorer Lasse Vibe gave his verdict on the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
“Maybe it was a fair result from a neutral point of view,” said Lasse. “We had our chances and we could have got the victory. We’re created chances to score more than one goal. It was a little bit the same as the previous game against Hull, in that we need to take our chances to win.”
Playing out wide, Lasse found himself playing as a lone front man and was rewarded with a first half goal, his fifth of the campaign so far.
“I just tried to do what I’m good at,” said Lasse. “Whether it’s on the wing or as a number ten, I can contribute to this team. I’m trying to be myself and bring my best attributes into the game. I do like playing as a striker but I’d rather play there because I’m good and not because Marco has got an injury, so I hope he’s alright – he’s important for the team.”
The 28-year-old spoke about his refusal to accept a point and his desire to win each game on a surface that suited Lee Carsley’s side.
“I’ve talked to some of their players and they were happy about the result,” said Lasse. “Personally, I wasn’t happy with the draw - I never am. We played well, it’s a bigger pitch here and that suits us well; we play a kind of football that gives them trouble and we saw that in the second half. The effort was there.”
