Brentford Captain gave his reaction to the 2-0 win over Milton Keynes Dons, which lifts the side to tenth place in the Sky Bet Championship.
“It’s obviously a great result,” said Jake. “I think 2-0 flatters them a little bit with the amount of chances we had. We’ve hit the bar a couple of times, hit the post, with three or four more chances we probably should have taken so am happy with the performance but it could have been more.
“With all due respect it can become a bit too easy - you switch off a little bit - but the main thing is we got the three points and the job done.

“It’s always nice to get a clean sheet,” said Jake. “With that you’ve always got a better chance of going up the other end with the players we’ve got, you always fancy us to nick a goal so an all-round pleasing day.”
It was Jake’s left wing cross that provided the game’s first goal, a testament to his extra work on the Training Ground paying off in a match situation.
“I do work hard at that side of my game,” said Jake. “So it’s even more pleasing and I’ll keep on doing that.”
