After a double win against Chelsea a fortnight ago in the South East Football League Trust Futsal League, Brentford’s Futsal scholars compete in another ‘A’ and ‘B’ fixture against Premier League Southampton.
The Bees faced their South Coast opponents on the opening day of the season, with the ‘A’ team losing, despite enjoying lots of possession, ineffective finishing and careless defending contributed to the defeat.
On the other hand, the ‘B’ team enjoyed a goal fest, rattling in 16 against the Saints. Since then both Brentford teams have pushed and are now targeting the Play-Offs as their minimum goal.
In a game that will play a big factor in pursuit of Play-Off places, Brentford ‘A’ know that three points will put significant distance between them and Southampton. The Saints on the other hand go into the match with three points on their mind if they don’t want to see their hopes fade.
Three Brentford players have been training with FA National Futsal Super League side West London Futsal Club and will hope to see the benefit of that this week.
