Brentford’s front pair received a special accolade after scoring two goals each on Saturday.
Clayton Donaldson and Farid El Alagui each scored a brace as Brentford won 5-1 against Crewe Alexandra at Griffin Park.
Farid also set up one of Clayton’s goals as The Bees ripped the Cheshire side to shreds.
Both Brentford strikers were named in the League One Team of the Week, announced today.
Brentford’s two members of the team – which is published by the Football League and selected by the Press Association – was surpassed by Yeovil Town.
The Glovers had four men in the team after their 4-0 win away to Scunthorpe United on Saturday kept them at the top of League One.
The rest of the XI was drawn from Carlisle United, Coventry City, Crawley Town, Shrewsbury Town and Swindon Town.
