Brentford has teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice throughout the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.
Scout will use its expertise to provide information, advice and Gameweek picks that could help you stay on top of your mini-leagues.
With the opening five Gameweeks of the season complete, FPL managers are beginning to spot patterns in the data and gain a better understanding of the best players to own.
266 of the 4,271 FPL points so far belong to Brentford players, the fourth-highest club total. The Bees also rank inside the Premier League’s top four for goals (10), attempts (81) and shots inside the box (59).
Heading into the international break, here are Brentford’s three highest scorers...
Kevin Schade (£6.2m)
Kevin Schade, 24, has sprinted out of the starting blocks, racking up 39 points, a tally that puts him joint-fourth overall alongside Erling Haaland (£15.6m).
Schade scored against Leeds United before returning a Gameweek 4 brace against Bournemouth and two FPL assists against Chelsea.
The Germany international has had 13 shots in the opening five fixtures of the season, 12 of which have come from inside the box. Only one midfielder has registered more penalty-area attempts.
Six of Schade’s efforts have been on target, and no midfielder in the game has scored more than his three goals.
Schade is currently averaging 7.8 points per start and has been transferred in more than one million times since the opening day of the season.
Vitaly Janelt (£5.0m)
Vitaly Janelt is the Bees’ second-highest-scoring player so far, with 28 points.
Janelt’s minutes were restricted by injuries last season, but he has played the full 90 minutes of every Premier League game this term.
The midfielder scored in Gameweeks 1 and 3, against Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland respectively. However, Janelt’s standout statistic is his league-leading 64 defensive contribution actions.
Midfielders earn two additional FPL points when they reach 12 defensive contributions, made up of blocks, clearances, interceptions, tackles won and ball recoveries, in a match. Janelt has reached the threshold three times this season.
He also has another route to points, having shared some set-piece responsibilities this term.
Michael Kayode (£4.6m)
Right-back Michael Kayode has returned 23 points in the opening five matches of the season, putting him just ahead of Mamadou Sangaré (£5.6m) and Keane Lewis-Potter (£5.5m), who have both returned 22.
Kayode registered a double-digit haul in Gameweek 1, when he scored, kept a clean sheet and picked up a bonus point.
Last season, Kayode was the leading defender for take-ons (107) and attempted long throws into the box (169). He is currently second in the latter category this season, with 26.
Those underlying attacking numbers give him another route to FPL points. Kayode has had six shots so far this season, a total only Igor Thiago (£7.8m), Schade and Lewis-Potter can better among Brentford players.
Four of Kayode’s six attempts have come from inside the box, increasing his potential for attacking returns and, therefore, his appeal in FPL.
