Moses Odubajo will show the coaching staff in the England set-up what he is capable of, according to Brentford Manager Mark Warburton.
The speedy right back was called-up to the England Under-20 squad announced today, Thursday March 19, for upcoming friendlies against Mexico and USA.
Striker Chris Long, on loan from Everton, is also in the squad for the matches.
The game against Mexico will be played at Barnet FC next Wednesday, March 25, before a game against USA at Plymouth Argyle on Sunday March 29.
As well as the two Under-20 calls, Alex Pritchard, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, and Liam Moore, on loan from Leicester City, were called up to the England Under-21 squad.
England play two Under-21 friendlies later this month.
The first is away against Czech Republic on Friday March 27 before they host Germany at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on Monday March 30.
The games are preparation for the UEFA European Under-21 Championships this summer.
Brentford Manager Mark Warburton said: “This will bring Moses in to the England system.
“His level of progress this season has been outstanding.
“I have no doubts Moses will go away with the squad and how the staff there what he is capable of.
“There is a European Under-21 Championships coming up and you never know what could happen.
“I am delighted for Mo and I am sure he will make a really strong impression.”
It is Moses’ first international call-up.
He came through the youth ranks at Leyton Orient before moving to Brentford last summer.
Moses has played 39 games for Brentford, scoring two goals.
Chris has been on Everton’s books since he was five-years-old, working his way through The Toffees’ Academy, and has represented England at every level from Under-16 to Under-20, playing 13 games and scoring five goals.
Chris went to the Under-20 World Cup in 2013, playing in two of England’s three matches.
He has played nine games for Brentford, scoring four goals.
Mark Warburton added: “Chris has scored four Championship for us and we are seeing his improvement in every game.
“He has settled well in the group and making real progress here.”
Alex and Liam will link up with the England Under-21 squad on Sunday, March 22, and will return to Brentford in time for the Sky Bet Championship West London derby against Fulham on April 3.
Alex has earned four England Under-21 caps to add to three he has at Under-20 level.
He has been on loan at Brentford from Tottenham for the season and has made 38 appearances for The Bees, scoring eight goals.
Liam has won 11 England Under-21 caps and was a regular as the young side qualified for the summer tournament.
He joined Brentford on loan for the second time last month and has played three games so far.
Mark Warburton added: “Alex has done very well this season.
“He knows he has to work hard every day.
“The quality and desire he has shown has been outstanding.
“I want to see him, and Liam, go away do well and come back to us for the final games of the season.”
