Brentford Women are back in Adobe Women’s FA Cup action on Sunday as they host Dartford at Honeycroft in the first round proper (2pm kick-off GMT)

The Bees reached this stage of the competition last season and will be looking to go one better this time around against the fourth-tier side.

The sides are no strangers to each other, having battled for promotion from Tier 5 last season.

Carly Williams’ side have enjoyed a promising run so far in the competition, beating Dorking Wanderers and Worthing in second round qualifying and third round qualifying, respectively.

A win on Sunday would take Brentford into the second round proper, with their best FA Cup run coming in 2024/25, when they reached the third round proper.

A digital programme will be available on Sunday. Please scan the QR codes around the ground to read it.

Last time out

Brentford drew 1-1 with Sutton United in London and South East Premier action last time out.

Ashley Cheatley put the Bees ahead on 10 minutes, but a Sutton penalty soon after brought the score level.

Wiktoria Kiszkis seemed to have scored a late winner; however, she was ultimately ruled offside.

Previously in the FA Cup, Williams’ side fought out a tough 2-1 win over fellow LSE Premier side Worthing.

Maddie Phillips was on target from the spot to give the Bees the lead, but Worthing responded to equalise.

Cheatley managed to score a 76th-minute winner, sending the west Londoners to the first round.

Last time Brentford faced Dartford was in March. Katie Gilligan scored her first club goal to give the Bees the lead, before Dartford answered to go ahead 2-1 in the second half.

A late Phillips’ penalty handed Williams’ side a point in an entertaining clash.

About Dartford

Dartford come into Sunday’s fixture 11th on the National League Division One South East table, with four draws and three losses from their opening seven games.

The Darts came into the FA Cup in third-round qualifying, where they defeated London Bees 1-0 away from home thanks to a goal by Abbey Davies.

Last time out in league action, the east Londoners battled out a 0-0 draw with Chatham Town.

Davies has been the leading player up front for Dartford, scoring three goals this season from her nine appearances.
