Kevin O'Connor and his Development Squad make the short trip down the Uxbridge Road to take on Queens Park Rangers in the Under-21 Premier League Cup Qualifying Round Two this evening. The match will be played at Rangers' Loftus Road Stadium, kick-off 7pm, and entry will be free via Gate 20.
It is The Bees first entry into the Under-21 Premier League Cup which was formed two seasons ago as part of the new Under-21 Professional Development League programme. The competition sees 47 Category One, Two and Three Under-21 sides enter at various stages in a knock-out format. The 13 Qualifying Round winners will join the 19 Category One clubs in the Round of 32 next month.
Brentford have picked up 10 points from their opening eight matches in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South this campaign with tonight's opponents Rangers' two points better off. Recent history is on The Bees side however as they have won the last three meeting between the two sides including a 3-0 victory at Harlington earlier this season - Jan Holldack, Montell Moore and Jermaine Udumaga on target for Brentford.
