Brentford Griffins made it six of the best as they beat Wealdstone 3-1 at Osterley Sports Club last Wednesday.
Goals from Bilal Aalouche, Christie Pattison and Chinny Akubine wrapped up the win that leaves the Griffins in with a shout of winning the London/South East Division in their debut season.
The Griffins recent run of six straight wins, during which time they have scored 23 goals, has moved them to within nine points of league leaders Chesham United with two matches in hand.
Next up for the Brentford team is a visit to leaders Chesham this Wednesday in what promises to be a key clash at the top of the table.
Reflecting on The Griffins win, Youth Alliance College Partnership Head Coach Dan Wright said that confidence is understandably high within the group.
"It was a hard fought contest against Wealdstone," said Dan.
"We took the lead after seven minutes with a good goal from Bilal but then let them back in the game five minutes later.
"Both sides had chances so I was surprised we went in at half time 1-1.
"At half time we discussed a few points and addressed some of the issues Wealdstone were posing us, especially on the counter.
"We had to take risks defensively as we tried to break down their block but I felt we left our centre backs exposed at times and were fortunate not to concede more in the first half.
"As the second half developed we looked more and more likely to score.
"I thought Abdul Oues was the best player on the pitch, creating and supplying the front three all day.
"Finally we broke through after good combination play around the box finished off with a confident finish from Christie.
"Chinny then came off the bench and sealed all 3 points.
"This group are very confident at the moment and they can't wait for the next game which is great."
The other Youth Alliance team, The Brentford Bees, secured a 1-1 draw away at Oxford United, Connor Cullen scoring the Brentford goal.
The point keeps The Bees seventh in their division just ahead of Wednesday's opponents.
"The Bees played well away to Oxford United and perhaps on another day could have got all three points," said Dan, speaking after the match.
"Speaking with Maxi he felt we were the better team but just couldn't convert the chances we created.
"It's good to see Connor on the score sheet, he is a player who has performed well recent weeks and could have got another as he was denied by the bar twice.
"I think they will look at this result as 2 points dropped rather than 1 gained.
"They face Gosport Borough away on Wednesday which will be another tough test"
