Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is on the lookout for ambitious, talented, young footballers to be part of a successful Elite Development Programme next season.

The programme, which is run in partnership with West Thames College, sees young footballers train with Brentford’s FC Community Sports Trust’s professional coaching staff while also studying for a recognised BTEC sports qualification from the College to help find a route into Professional Football or Higher Education. Teams from the programme are entered in into the Football Conference Youth Alliance, playing against other Academy teams in a league format.

Former professional players Dan Senda (Head Coach) with over 400 first team games and Ryan Peters (Brentford FC) will be coaching the squads 3 times a week as well as players competing in a regular league programme with additional cup competitions.

The programme used to be linked directly to the scholars but will now be a potential pathway into The Bees new Elite Development Squad (B Team). The B team has already played high profile fixture against La Liga opposition, Valencia and Villareal.

Those players who are at the required standard may have the opportunity to progress to Brentford FC’s ‘B’ team.

Founded in 2014, the programme has already helped players sign professionally with league clubs while on the pitch success has included picking up three league titles in the last two seasons. Brentford Griffins were Football Conference Youth Alliance league champions in 2014/15 and 2015/16 and they also picked up the English Colleges Football Association title last season.

As part of this course, there will be a chance to take FA coaching qualifications and gain invaluable industry experience with Brentford FC CST, a leading English Football League Community Sports Trust.

There are still places to be a part of this. Players will be invited to train with the current squad to assess their suitability. Students who are starting Year 12 or are in Year 13 are eligible.
