Luke Daniels has been named as the best goalkeeper in the 2020/21 Carabao Cup. The competition ended on Sunday, 25 April, when Manchester City beat Tottenham Hotspur in the final at Wembley Stadium. But Brentford's run was one of the stories of the Carabao Cup this season and Luke's role has been recognised.

Brentford had their best ever cup run in the Carabao Cup this season. They reached the last four, the first time ever The Bees have reached a Semi-Final in a major competition, before losing to Tottenham. At the end of the competition, match ratings were used to compile a team of the Carabao Cup and Luke was the best goalkeeper.

The Bees started their run with a penalty shoot-out win over Wycombe Wanderers, with Luke making a decisive save. Luke kept a clean sheet as Brentford won at Southampton and did the same in a last eight win over Newcastle United. David Raya played in wins over West Bromwich Albion, on penalties, and Fulham, as well as against Tottenham.
