Halil Dervişoğlu gained 90 minutes for Galatasaray as they beat Konyaspor 1-0 on Wednesday. The Turkish giants were made to wait until the 87th minute to go ahead with Emre Akbaba grabbing the game's only goal. The side are second in the Turkish Süper Lig, level on points with Fenerbahçe.

There were games in the EFL in midweek but none of our players saw any game time. Jaakko Oksanen was an unused substitute for AFC Wimbledon in their thrilling encounter with Rochdale towards the bottom end of SkyBet League One. Wimbledon went into the game knowing a win would confirm their safety, but they fell behind when Jake Beesley scored four minutes before the break. Gabriel Osho then added another for Rochdale around the hour mark which preceded a fightback from The Dons. Quickfire goals from Jack Rudoni and Ollie Palmer saw the score become 2-2 to give Wimbledon a chance to go on and win it. The fifth goal of the game then arrived at Plough Lane, but it was from the away side as Jimmy Keohane found the net to make it 3-2. Wimbledon then managed to secure themselves a point when the game swung again with Joe Pigott firing home in the 96th minute. Wimbledon now need one point at the weekend when they face Portsmouth at home to secure their safety from relegation.

In the same division, Ellery Balcombe was absent from Doncaster Rovers' 2-2 draw away at Peterborough on Tuesday. United were 2-0 up and looking like automatic promotion was confirmed for them but Fejiri Okenabirhie and Taylor Richards managed to level things to take a point on the night. Rovers are now 13th in the table and are away at Rochdale at the weekend.

As for Dom Thompson, there was no game in midweek for Swindon Town and they are at home to Ipswich Town on Saturday. Swindon have already been relegated from the division. In SkyBet League Two, Arthur Read's Stevenage were also without a match in midweek and are in preparation to take on Crawley Town on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Patrik Gunnarsson is likely to feature for Silkeborg when they face Fredericia this weekend, whilst Joel Valencia's Legia Warsaw are also in action against Wisła Kraków. Julian Jeanvier's Kasımpaşa take on Alanyaspor on Monday.
