Starting in Sky Bet League One, Jaakko Oksanen earned some minutes as he came on for AFC Wimbledon in the 53rd minute in the side's 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic at Plough Lane. The Dons fell behind on the hour mark but managed to get themselves back into the game when George Dobson struck 20 minutes from time as the sides shared the points. The Dons will go into Saturday's match with Charlton Athletic looking to climb away from danger as they currently occupy 22nd in the league.

There was action for Doncaster Rovers, though Ellery Balcombe was an unused substitute, in their 3-0 defeat against Oxford United. Matty Taylor grabbed the first two goals before Olamide Shodipo scored the third of the evening as all of the goals came within the first half. Rovers are fifth in the table and travel to Gillingham on Saturday.

There was no action in midweek for Swindon Town and Dom Thompson, but they will prepare for trip to Fleetwood this weekend as they seek to claw themselves off the foot of the table.

In Sky Bet League Two Grimsby Town drew 0-0 against Tranmere Rovers earlier this week at Blundell Park. Joe Adams was an unused substitute on the night as the side are still bottom of the Football League and currently sit eight points from safety. They are away at Mansfield on Saturday.

In the same division, there was no match for Stevenage and Arthur Read, and they will be readying themselves for a fixture with Carlisle United on Saturday at The Lamex Stadium.

On foreign shores there are matches today as Patrik Gunnarsson's Silkeborg are set to take on Fremad Amager as the side look to continue their fantastic run of form as they sit second in the Danish First Division. Galatasaray are also in action today as they play Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig. Halil Dervişoğlu will be aiming for game time for the Turkish giants, who are currently second in the division.

Also in Turkey, Kasımpaşa S.K.will take on Gençlerbirliği S.K, who are bottom of the table, away from home tomorrow. Julian Jeanvier has been missing for the side through a long-term injury.

In Poland Legia Warsaw, who are top of the Ekstraklasa, are away at Zagłębie Lubin on Sunday. They are seven points clear at the top of the table and Joel Valencia will be hoping for more minutes for the Polish giants.
