Brentford Women’s London and South East Premier season continues with an away trip to Worthing Women on Sunday 23 August (3pm kick-off BST).

Carly Williams’ side travel to the Sussex Transport Community Stadium looking to back up their opening day win with another three points on the road.

Rhian Cleverley lead the team out as captain for the first time, after being appointed by Williams ahead of the opening fixture.

The Bees will hope to replicate last season's strong start, when they won their opening 10 games of the campaign across all competitions.

This week also marked one year since Williams joined the club as head coach, and she will be hoping to celebrate that anniversary with a victory on the road.

Last Time Out

Brentford opened their season with a 4-1 win at their new home Honeycroft against newly promoted Eastbourne Borough last weekend.

Wiktoria Kiszkis impressed again following a strong pre-season with a brace to open and close the scoring.

Eastbourne pulled one back to level the game, but goals from Ashley Cheatley and Abbi Smith put the Bees in the driving seat.

Summer signings Smith, Cleverly, Georgie Giddings and Mya Francis-Pownall all made their Brentford debuts last weekend in a new-look side.

Speaking after the first win of the 2026/27 season Williams said:"The start of the season is always a tough fixture.

"I think it took us a while to settle but I thought it was a fantastic performance in the end and I'm really proud of the players.

"It's about self belief and playing our way. When we started playing our football, we started taking our chances.

"They had their threats and we knew about them, so it was about getting the job done and we did that."
