Brentford B will return to Premier League Cup action on Tuesday when they face Hull City Under-21s at MKM Stadium (7pm kick-off BST).

The clash will be the young Bees’ first away trip of the PL Cup campaign, having beaten Wycombe Wanderers Reserves at home last time out in the competition.

Sam Saunders’ side have made a perfect start to their season across all competitions, winning back-to-back Premier League 2 games as well as their opening PL Cup clash.

The west Londoners also welcomed midfielder Kiefer Gorman on a permanent deal from Watford on Deadline Day, further strengthening the squad until January.

Last time out

The west Londoners impressed last time out, defeating Sunderland U21s 5-1 at Wheatsheaf Park.

Kaye Furo gave the Bees the lead inside 30 seconds, with Brentford taking that 1-0 advantage into half-time.

Saunders’ side put their foot down in the second 45 minutes, Furo scoring twice to secure his hat-trick, while Fábio Carvalho and Riley Owen added a goal apiece.

Previously in the PL Cup, Brentford defeated Wycombe 2-0 at home.

Josh Dasilva broke the deadlock for the hosts just after the hour mark, with Michel Boni also getting on the scoresheet.

The west Londoners last faced Hull in last season’s PDL opener, when Ethan Laidlaw's late equaliser secured a 1-1 draw.
