Defender Joseph Wheeler-Henry has made the permanent move to Brentford B from Chelsea.
Wheeler-Henry’s permanent move follows a successful loan spell in west London across the second half of last season.
The 18-year-old joined Sam Saunders’ side in February following a successful trial period and had an immediate impact, featuring 18 times across the second half of the season.
Wheeler-Henry picked up two assists in a 3-0 debut win over QPR and followed it up with four more assists across the rest of the season, helping the young Bees claim a second-consecutive Professional Development League title.
Brentford B head coach Saunders said: “I'm really pleased to get Joseph on board full-time. We had him on loan and he improved massively in the period of time that he was with us.
“He looks like he’s really enjoying his football so I’m really pleased that he’s extended his stay.
“Hopefully we can continue that trajectory of improvement and him enjoying himself.
“He’s got some amazing assets that we’re really excited to work with and, with him being so coachable, we expect him to keep pushing forward and keep getting better.”
