Following the arrival of Iwan Morgan on transfer deadline day last summer, the forward has been an outstanding performer for Neil MacFarane’s side.

Making the move to Brentford from Swansea, Morgan has netted eight times for the young Bees so far this campaign. Find out more about the forward in the latest instalment of Brentford Buzz.


What is your goal celebration?

I always point into the air after every goal I score, for my bampy because he passed away - he’s the reason why I play football so I always make sure I do this.

What is your favourite movie?

I like watching Creed a lot, I always watch it over and over so I will go with that film.

What would be your perfect meal?

I like a Chinese. Anything to with chicken - chicken and rice, chicken noodles - anything like that.

Which team-mate would you least want as a room-mate?

I’ve been put on the spot with this one! No one is that bad to be honest but I’m rooming with Benji Arthur at the moment; he snores quite bad so I will have to go with him.

What’s your favourite football kit?

I went to Dortmund a couple of years ago and I really like their kit - or it would be Cardiff City because that’s where I’m from.

How have you found the move to London from Wales?

At the start it was difficult, especially moving away from home I remember my first couple of weeks I was away on international duty and that made it tough.

Over time I’ve been able to adapt and I’ve got used to how busy things are in London!

What do you miss most about Wales?

Not the weather for sure! Probably just my family and friends because that’s where I have grown up all my life and where I’ve always played football, so it was a big change for me.

How would you describe Neil MacFarlane and Sam Saunders?

Neil is demanding, he’s on to you every day, every training session he’s always on to you and so is Saunds, he gets on to me for my movement in the box.

Who has the worst music taste in the squad?

Again that’s a tough one… maybe the performance coach Aimee [Evans], when she’s in the gym some of the music she plays is horrific.
