Following a strong pre-season campaign, Chanse Headman is eyeing another season of development at Robert Rowan Performance Centre.

Ahead of the Under-21 Professional Development League kicking off next Tuesday, the defender spoke about his favourite team-mate to sit next to on a plane, what he listens to on a matchday and more in this new episode of Brentford Buzz.

What is your favourite thing to do outside of football?

Probably go to see my family, go see nan and grandad, I see them quite a lot. Any spare time I have I like to spend it with the family.

Which team-mate would you most want to sit next to on a plane?

Ethan Brierley. We’re quite similar in many ways and a lot of the boys do cane us for being with each other quite a lot. It’d be a funny plane ride.

Your favourite thing about playing football?

Just the enjoyment I’d say, every day getting to do the thing I love and being a defender, blocking, tackling, being a nuisance - it’s really enjoyable.

What was your junior club?

The first club I ever played for was Bedhead Football Club in Battersea. I think I joined them when I was about six.

I actually joined them as a right winger, so dropped down quite a few pegs.

Favourite place you have played so far?

Probably (Estadio) Algarve when we went to Portugal. That stadium was massive.

The facilities and just an experience like that was top, to be fair.

Which sport other than football would you like to play?

I used to play badminton but I wouldn’t like to play it.

Golf. I’m not good, but it looks fun, it looks relaxing, but I’m not good. If I got better I’d say I’d enjoy it a lot more.

What do you watch or listen to on a matchday coach ride?

I switch it up. I do listen to music, I don’t really watch anything. A bit of R&B and then I’d probably say a bit of house music as we’re getting closer to the ground.

Do you prefer the green or pink Brentford kit?

Pink, I love pink. 100 per cent the pink kit.
