Brentford Football Club is once again calling for volunteers to help clear the snow at Griffin Park ahead of tomorrow’s match against Leyton Orient.
More than 150 Bees fans turned up on Saturday morning to clear now from the playing surface ahead of Brentford’s npower League One match against Tranmere Rovers.
The efforts of the supporters ensure that game went ahead.
Frost covers were placed on the pitch immediately after the Tranmere fixture, to protect the playing surface from the cold weather.
Snow has fallen in Brentford for much of the 40 hours since that game and there is thick cover around the area.
The Club is looking for any supporters with time today to come down and help clear the snow that is currently on top of frost covers.
The Bees welcome Leyton Orient to Griffin Park for a League One match tomorrow, Tuesday January 22, that will kick off at 7.45pm.
The removal of the snow is likely to be a key factor in whether tomorrow’s game can go ahead or not.
Anyone who can get to Griffin Park at any point today will be welcome, although the sooner the better.
If supporters have snow shovels, they should bring them – the Club has a limited number that can be used by those who don’t have them.
