The performances of Brentford Development Squad defender Alfie Mawson during his season-long loan at Wycombe Wanderers earned him a series of prizes at the Buckinghamshire side’s end-of-season awards last week.
The 21-year-old has been with the Sky Bet League Two club for the whole of the 2014/15 season, playing 47 games, 45 of them in the league, and scoring six goals.
His performances have seen him named in the Football League Team of the Week three times and he also finish third in the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year award, voted for by League Two manager.
Last Sunday, May 3, at Wycombe’s annual awards evening, Alfie was named the League Two side’s Supporters’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
This added to three awards he was given – Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Away Travel Player of the Year – by the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association.
Last month was named Player of the Year by the Wycombe Wanderers Independent Supporters Club.
Wycombe ended the season fourth in League Two.
They will face Plymouth Argyle in the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Semi-Final, the first leg will be in Devon at 7.45pm tonight, Saturday May 9.
