Brentford’s on loan attacking midfield player Alex Pritchard was not called upon to add to his two England Under-21 caps this evening.
The 21-year-old is on loan at Griffin Park from Tottenham Hotspur for the duration of the 2014/15 Sky Bet Championship season.
He was named in the England squad for a two-legged European Under-21 Championships Qualifying Play-Off tie against Croatia.
But he was not named in the match day squad for the first leg this evening, Friday October 10.
England came from behind to win the game 2-1 and will travel to Croatia for the second match on Tuesday, October 13.
The winners over two legs will earn a place alongside hosts Czech Republic in the finals next summer.
Alex has two England Under-21 caps, earned last month, and three at Under-20 level.
He made his Spurs debut on the final day of the 2013/14 season against Aston Villa, appearing as a late substitute.
Alex spent a short spell on loan at Peterborough United in 2012/13 and the whole of last season at Swindon Town.
He has played 11 games for Brentford so far this season, scoring twice.
