Valentino Adedokun joined Brentford B in the summer of 2021, transitioning from Dundalk FC where he had made a notable impression.
Starting his football journey with Malahide United, Val moved to Dundalk’s youth setup in 2017. His development at Oriel Park culminated in a first team debut against Shamrock Rovers in September 2020, marking a significant milestone in his early career.
A defender known for his speed, aggression, and skill, Val is a fan of Messi, Zidane, Neymar, Van Dijk, and Neuer, whom he considers part of his dream five-a-side team. Val's first footballing memory is playing on the local pitch with his dad, a cherished moment that reflects his deep-rooted passion for the game. His proudest achievement so far is representing his country, a testament to his dedication and talent.
At Brentford, Val has embraced the challenge of training alongside first-team players at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre. He finds the elevated tempo and speed a valuable learning experience, which has sharpened his defensive skills and leadership qualities. Looking ahead, Val aims to contribute as an attacking threat from defence, continuing to build on his development and making an impact at the club.
