Valentino Adedokun joined Brentford B in the summer of 2021, making the move from League of Ireland side Dundalk FC.

Starting his football journey with Malahide United, Val moved to Dundalk’s youth setup in 2017. His development at Oriel Park culminated in a first team debut against Shamrock Rovers in September 2020.

A defender known for his speed, aggression, and skill, Val is eligible for Nigeria and Republic of Ireland and has represented the latter at U15 and U19 level. A natural leader, Val captained the B team in the 2023/24 season which saw him win the B team Player of the Year award.

In the 2024/25 season, the young left back had two loan spells. First, he joined Hungarian club Diósgyőr VTK, playing three times, before joining Cheltenham Town in League Two, where he impressed across 17 appearances in the second half of the season before suffering a campaign-ending injury.

Adedokun was also part of the Premier League Cup winning Brentford B side that lifted the trophy in the 2022/23 season, with the young left back starting in the 2-1 final win over Blackburn Rovers.
