Beckham joined Fort Lauderdale CF in 2021 before the side was renamed Inter Miami II last year. The team acts as a reserve side for the first team at Inter Miami and Beckham has been able to build experience with the reserve group who play in MLS Next Pro.

Last season Inter Miami II finished sixth in the Eastern Conference with the midfield player featuring 20 times.

Beckham led the assists chart last term for the league as he turned provider 10 times, while he also helped himself to two goals over the course of the campaign.

Prior to heading to the USA to link up with the club, Beckham had spent time with Arsenal’s academy up until 2014 before he returned to the game in September 2021.

Romeo’s earliest footballing memory was watching his father lift the MLS trophy with LA Galaxy. His proudest moment as a footballer was signing for the B Team here at Brentford. Romeo’s favourite football shirt is Arsenal’s 22/23 strip because he believes they are going to go all the way and win the league this season. His footballing idol is David Beckham, and he would compare his style of play to him as well.

Off the field, Romeo enjoys playing pool and watching Normal People. His favourite foods include pizza and sushi. Romeo’s favourite song is Love Yourself and his favourite film is Ali G Indahouse. If he was not a footballer, Romeo would have pursued running track. Romeo is also a good singer!
