Michael Olakigbe joined Brentford B in the summer of 2022 from West London neighbours Fulham.
Michael, who is an England international at youth level, joined having been a part of the youth setup at Craven Cottage since 2018 as he went on to feature for the club’s Under-18 and Under-23 side. In the 2021/22 season Michael made 22 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League whilst helping himself to 11 goals and three assists for the team. The campaign saw Fulham finish sixth in the Under-18 Premier League South as they claimed 46 points from their 26 matches.
Michael was also part of the youth setup at Queens Park Rangers before heading to Fulham in the summer of 2018. As he climbed through the ranks he made his Under-18s debut against Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020 and went on to make 15 appearances during the 2020/21 campaign in that age group.
Michael's first footballing memory was getting the number 7 shirt when he first joined a sunday league team. His favourite football shirt is Arsenal's, and his footballing idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. Michael also plays as Liverpool on FIFA, because of their fast attacking style of play. His proudest moment as a footballer was scoring against Portugal for England. If he had to compare himself to another footballer, it would be Wilfried Zaha.
Off the field, Michael enjoys reading books and watching Rick and Morty. If he was not a football player, he would be a football agent. His favourite place in the world is Dubai, and his favourite food is Jollof Rice. Michael also has three younger brothers who play football as well!
