Max Dickov began his football journey at Manchester City, where he honed his skills from 2009 to 2011.

He then joined Oldham Athletic, further developing his game over several years. A standout moment in his youth was representing England Schoolboys in 2018, showcasing his potential on a national level. After a stint at Stockport Town from 2019 to 2021, Max joined Brentford, where he has been making strides since 2021.

Known for his quick, direct, and hard-working style, Max brings energy to the pitch. He was instrumental in helping the B Team win the Premier League Cup in their first season competing in the tournament, a proud moment in his career. Reflecting on his time at Brentford, Max notes, “Being part of the team that won the Premier League Cup was a massive achievement. The togetherness and family aspect of the club pushed us to go so far, and that’s what the club is about.”

Training alongside the first-team players at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre has been a transformative experience for Max. He appreciates the insights gained from observing their communication and teamwork at the highest levels. “It’s the best learning experience you can get,” he shares. “Their support and confidence allow you to feel comfortable and play your game.”

As he looks ahead to this season, Max has set ambitious goals for himself and the team: “To win all competitions we’re in, both league and cup, and to stay fit and feature throughout the season.” With his dad, Paul Dickov, as his biggest influence, Max draws inspiration from his role model’s dedication.

In his downtime, Max enjoys listening to 80s and 90s music, with Live Forever by Oasis serving as his initiation song. When asked who he would select for his dream five-a-side team, he confidently lists Messi, Foden, Zidane, Rodri, and himself—a testament to his ambition and love for the game.
