An agile keeper between the sticks, Marley Tavaziva joined Brentford B on a two-year scholarship in the summer of 2022, having come through Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s post-16 Education programme.
The strong relationship between Brentford B and the Community Sports Trust has allowed young talents like Marley to step into the professional setup at Jersey Road, training alongside the next generation of Bees players.
Marley’s career began with Sunday league football at Hampton and Richmond, before advancing through the Brentford Community Sports Programme and after impressing the coaches on trial, joined Brentford B.
Marley recently made his debut for Zimbabwe on his fourth call up to the national team, coming off the bench at half-time in a 1-1 draw in an international friendly against Niger. Marley will hope that his ball-playing ability and strength in playing out from the back will offer the Warriors an excellent option in net for the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
During the 2024/25 campaign, Tavaziva made 12 appearances for Brentford B.
His experience with the first team, including a memorable tour to Spain at the age of 17 and training with the squad at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre have been highlights of his time with the club.
