Luka Bentt’s footballing journey began in the United States, where he played for Bethesda SC before moving to DC United’s academy. His time at DC United was pivotal, laying the foundation for his move to Creative Football Academy. It was there that his talent blossomed, ultimately earning him a spot at Brentford, where he now plays for the U18s.

A dynamic midfielder, Luka’s game is defined by his intelligence, tireless running, and exceptional passing ability - qualities that have helped him stand out in Brentford’s youth ranks. One of his proudest moments came when he scored on his full debut for the U18s against Getafe at just 16 years old, marking his potential for the future.

Off the pitch, Luka’s pre-match routine is fuelled by French rap, with artists such as Tiakola, Niska, Naza, and SDM setting the tone with his initiation song of choice being "T.I.A" by Tiakola. When asked to name his dream five-a-side team, Luka opted for a star-studded lineup featuring Thibaut Courtois, Virgil van Dijk, Kevin De Bruyne, Moussa Dembélé, and Lionel Messi — a combination of power, creativity, and flair, much like his own style.

Reflecting on his time at Brentford, Luka describes himself as "always looking to learn and improve." His personal goal this season is to break into the B Team and earn a national team call-up, while he hopes to lead the U18s to cup success. His father has been the biggest influence on his career, instilling a relentless work ethic that Luka brings into every training session and match.

Training alongside the first team at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre has opened his eyes to the professionalism required at the highest levels of football, inspiring him to push his game to new heights. Brentford’s coaching and training environment have helped him improve his physical traits, particularly his speed and acceleration, both key areas he believes will benefit the club in the future.
