Iwan Morgan joined Brentford B in the summer of 2023 after an impressive spell at Sky Bet Championship side Swansea City.
His journey began at Cardiff City, where he first showcased his talent before progressing through the ranks at Swansea. During his time with Swansea’s Under-18 side, Iwan made a name for himself, scoring 28 goals in one season, including four hat-tricks. His standout performances earned him the opportunity to play for the club’s Under-21 team and a call-up to the Wales Under-17 squad for the UEFA European Championships.
On the international stage, Iwan delivered when it mattered most, scoring twice for Wales in a victory over Poland. His goals helped secure the team’s first-ever win in a major tournament at the Under-17 level, cementing his reputation as a forward with a natural goal-scoring instinct.
Since arriving at Brentford, Iwan has continued to develop his game, known among his teammates for his clinical finishing and sharp movement. Described as a player who’s always scoring goals, Iwan takes pride in his ability to find the back of the net. One of his most memorable moments so far in a Brentford shirt came when he scored his first B team goal in a match against Fulham.
Off the pitch, Iwan draws inspiration from his father and mentor, Steven, both of whom have been instrumental in his growth as a footballer. His time at Brentford, training alongside the first-team players at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre, has been invaluable in shaping his overall development. Iwan believes these experiences have not only improved his movement and tactical awareness but also helped him mature as a person.
Looking ahead, Iwan is determined to continue improving and has set his sights on helping Brentford B achieve their goal of winning the league this season. He knows that his finishing ability, combined with his strong work ethic, will be a key asset to the club in the years to come.
