Isaac Holland, a fast, direct, and physical midfielder for Brentford FC’s B Team, joined the club from Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
It was at Wednesday where Isaac progressed through the ranks, representing the Under-18s at Hillsborough, whilst also featuring in the FA Youth Cup, helping Wednesday reach the fifth round of the competition.
Isaac’s football journey began with a memorable first Sunday league game, where he scored his debut goal, and his proudest moment came when he signed for Brentford. His footballing idols include Neymar and Gareth Bale, and he compares his style of play to Wolves' winger Pedro Neto.
On matchdays, Isaac gets in the zone by listening to Drake, while his initiation song is Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You. When asked about his dream five-a-side team, he chose Ederson, Ramos, Messi, Neymar and current Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Bary Bannan.
Isaac’s goal for the season is to be the best player on the pitch, contributing with both goals and assists. Training alongside the first-team players at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre has been a surreal experience for Isaac, but it’s helped him develop under the guidance of top pros. He credits Brentford’s coaching staff for improving all aspects of his game.
With his pace and directness, Isaac is focused on offering Brentford a sharp attacking edge in the future, consistently creating goal-scoring opportunities.
