Enrique Roca joined Brentford in the summer of 2024, the skilful midfielder making the move to west London from Manchester City.

Roca linked up with the Under-18 squad ahead of the team’s first Professional Development League season since the reintroduction of the academy.

Roca spent his entire academy career at Manchester City, signing with the club at Under-9 level and staying until Under-16s.

After he wasn’t offered a scholarship for the following season, Roca joined the young Bees on a tour to Spain, eventually signing with the club in the summer alongside 11 other news scholars.

Roca’s time in west London got off to a rocky start, a back injury sidelining him early in the 2024/25 pre-season.

Following a long rehab process, he returned to the pitch in February 2025, tallying 45 minutes in a loss to Ipswich Town U18s.

Roca followed that performance up with his first goal for Brentford in a 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic before netting a long-range free-kick in a 5-2 win over Colchester United.

Roca also gained valuable minutes abroad against OGC Nice Under-20s, before an injury brought a premature end to his first campaign in west London.
